2012 South Coast Wine Show
We are very pleased to share with you our results from the 2012 South Coast Wine Show.
Bawley Vale Estate bought home two Bronze medals, one in the dry white and one in the other dry red category.
2008 Big Spotty Chardonnay – unwooded, Very pale in colour, the chardonnay aromatics are understated and subtle. There are lemon and peach notes, and on the palate the wine is lithe, zesty and refreshing with a crisp, dry finish. This chardonnay is an excellent accompaniment to local Clyde River Oysters, Chicken, Pizza and Pasta dishes. Alc./Vol 10.6%
2008 No Toes Red, Bright red/purple in colour, this blend features a juicy aroma of nettle and plum, a suggestion of earth, blackberry and a hint of vanilla bean. The blackberry continues on the palate with cassis and spice. The finish is warm and lingering. This wine goes very well with young lamb, curries, game and chicken. Alc./Vol 12.1%
