Plummy purple red in colour, the judicious use of oak has given this Chambourcin a spicy, almost shiraz-like nose.

The palate is likewise spicy, and a bit briary, with hints of cassis, licorice, and nutmeg. This is the sort of red wine that suits barbequed white and red meat, and can even cope with a little chilling.

We just wanted to give you some feedback, a few years ago my wife and I purchased a bottle of your 2006 Chambourcin from your cellar. We opened the wine last night and I am so pleased to say that it was just fantastic. We shared it with my step-father (who is a self confesed wine connoisseur, but had never tried Chombourcin) and we were all very impressed.
